AIKEN, SOUTH CAROLINA – The Aiken Horse Park Foundation is pleased to confirm that the Showcase Event is going forward as planned. Organizers are grateful that the United States Equestrian Federation has created comprehensive COVID-19 protocols for running events ensuring the safety and welfare of their participants, volunteers, and officials. While we will be unable to welcome spectators to this year’s event, we are partnering with Horse & Country TV to provide a robust live stream experience for all sports enthusiasts. Invitations have been extended to the top 40 ranked riders in the world, some of whom are based in the United States during the winter training season.
We have already secured commitments from all four of the US Eventing Elite Training list riders: Phillip Dutton, Boyd Martin, Doug Payne, and USEA Rider of the Year Liz Halliday-Sharp.
I’m excited that the GPE will be going ahead this year! Horse & Country TV livestream is a perfect way to watch this exciting event from the comfort of your home. We are looking forward to wall-to-wall coverage and a full broadcast production, not just a livestream of the competition. The event itself is always a very exciting and nail biting two days. It is a difficult competition to win and it’s also a great preparation and education for horse and riders. Most of the top horses and riders in the USA will be in Aiken this year contesting the Grand Prix. I hope everyone gets behind this great weekend!

The Aiken Showcase is a competition that I look forward to each year and it’s such a great early season challenge for my top horses. Many of our nation’s best riders and horses are there to try and take the title, so to win the event you have to put in a great performance in each phase and fight for it to the end! I am really looking forward to competing there again and I will be doing all that I can to win the event for a 3rd year in a row!
